Safety Training

Training can be considered as ‘core’ training (flying training or maintenance training for example) and supplementary training. In terms of safety supplementary training, the following can be provided by Saturn SMS.

Safety Management Training

Different levels of SM training should be given depending on the position’s involvement with operations:
- Safety Manager – detailed SM training; SM competency required
- Managers – High Level SMS Awareness and introduction to Operator Safety Risk Management
- All staff (including flight crew, maintainers, operations staff, ATC, etc) – General SMS Awareness

Occurrence Management Training

Mainly for the Safety Manager and maintenance manager: this focusses on two aspects;

- Error Management

- How to deal with Occurences;

• Issues Management Systems
• Managing the Incident – getting the right information

Human Factors Training

Different levels of HF training should be given depending on the position’s involvement with operations:

- End Users
- Management
- Support Personnel
